ISD Education originally began as a Division of Integrated Systems Development (ISD) in 1987. ISD was formed in 1985 by five former General Motors managers who had more than 125 years combined experience with systems design, development and integration. ISD Education was formed as a separate company in February 2001 with the same staff that formerly formed the education division of ISD. Our staff of 18 full time employees has recently moved to our new location down the street in Zeeland, Michigan.

Our Food Service solutions serve several markets:

PS1000® is used in K-12 school districts where free and reduced accounting is critical
DCS1000® is designed for Colleges and Universities who often use meal plans
IS1000® serves the general business community allowing payroll deduction at corporate and hospital cafeterias and stores

Offering both high performance register operations coupled with a real time full function back office solution separates ISD Education from the competition. For four years (1999-2003) our PS1000® solutions have been selected as "best bid" by the Hospital Purchasing Service (HPS) which represents schools and hospitals in several Midwestern states.

NewGen® is a complete K-12 school management system built on an integrated central database. A high reliability and highly secure central file server accessed by graphically rich PC applications provide the user with high performance and ease of use. ISD Education employees along with education professionals and educational consultants developed modules of NewGen® over several years. Once developed, each module is installed at selected "test districts" for rigorous "real world" testing before being released. A customer selecting NewGen® will receive:

Digital Video Switching from the desktop (if supported by the district's network)

at a much lower cost than purchasing separately, even a subset of, the above functions. Integration also provides the district with significant cost savings by not having to maintain several databases containing the same information.

Consulting to assist with the implementation of technology within a school district. Often as part of a bond issue ISD Education interfaces with the architectural and construction management firms performing the following tasks:

Pre-bond technology planning and budgeting
Post bond bid and project management for voice video, data and security systems
Managing the technology budget
